Pochampally Ikat from Telangana is a GI-tagged warp-and-weft ikat textile tradition recognised as one of India's greatest handloom achievements. The village of Pochampally (Bhoodan Pochampally) near Hyderabad is the epicentre of this craft, where both warp and weft threads are resist-dyed before weaving to create the characteristic blurred-edge geometric patterns. Pochampally Ikat was the first textile product to receive GI status in India. The tradition produces silk and cotton sarees, dress materials, and home textiles with bold geometric designs.

मंगलगिरी

Mangalagiri is a GI-tagged cotton handloom tradition from the town of Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district, producing sarees and dress materials with a distinctive nizam (temple border) and self-coloured body weave. The characteristic Mangalagiri saree has a contrasting gold Zari or silk border with a simple nizam pattern and a plain or striped cotton body. The cotton used is pure and the weaving is done on pit looms by the Padmasali community. Mangalagiri fabric is valued for its natural comfort and durability.

वेंकटगिरी

Venkatagiri cotton sarees are ultra-fine handloom textiles from the town of Venkatagiri in Andhra Pradesh's Nellore district, historically woven under the patronage of the Venkatagiri Zamindars. Known as 'Zari Cotton' sarees, Venkatagiri textiles combine fine mercerised cotton with real gold Zari borders and pallus, creating a fabric that is simultaneously light and opulent. The characteristic feature is the gossamer-fine cotton body paired with rich Zari work, making Venkatagiri sarees ideal for formal occasions where comfort and elegance are both required.

खड़ा दुपट्टा

Khada Dupatta is a traditional bridal textile from Hyderabad, a full-length ceremonial garment worn by Hyderabadi brides as an elaborate double-width stole embellished with Zardozi embroidery, sequins, and real Zari borders. The name derives from 'khada' meaning standing or tall, referring to its impressive dimensions and the way it is draped over the bridal lehenga. Rooted in the Nawabi court culture of Hyderabad, the Khada Dupatta represents the most elaborate form of the Deccani embroidery tradition and is an essential element of the Hyderabadi Muslim wedding trousseau.
